That radio is only for the ears? Paradiselost is a project based on John Milton’s baroque original text, which the Austrian radio ORF prepared by German director Marold Langer-Philippsen. The project will have several parts: each will take place in another country, with other musicians and other perception of topics. Žilina (Slovak) part will take place in the New Synagogue, leaded by Marek Piaček, musicians from the ensemble Musica et Falsa and a folk group Považan. In addition to recording it is also an open event. PARADISELOST a spatial structure in which viewers free to promenade in the space, exploring, but also completing the acoustics and sometimes coming on moving musicians in the same “itinerant” way, conducted by the laser. The sound is so perfectly tailored to the space and space is totally full of sound.


“About humans disobedience and subsequently lost paradise.” That sums up John Milton in the second updated edition of his masterpiece “Paradise Lost” from 1647, which after got into the blacklist of banned literature.

PARADISELOST I - XII is on the trail today lost and losing heavens through twelve radio shows over the years 2012/2013 to ORF / Kunstradio. Like the blind author - just at a different level of senses - musicians, composers and artists involved in this artistic series will try to bring ears spaces, ideas, dreams, imagination and desire driven by one or more heavens, or their loss.
Each of the twelve broadcasting is dedicated to one of Milton’s books. The names often refer to space and location where planted Milton’s texts / books. Each record has a cover photo, which is the starting point for a special grasp topics. Individual recordings of radio operas are produced as a series, but it will stand as separate pieces.
