interdisciplinary workshop
Monday - Sunday, 30. April - 6. May 2012

Engine Room EuropeAn interdisciplinary workshop for students of architecture, landscape architecture, urbanism, design, visual communication, or even tourism development and tourism management. In cooperation with Regional turism organisation Malá Fatra and City of Žilina, we´ll together seek for creative solutions for the city information system - areas for sticking posters, navigation system, labelling historical structures or creating traditional, or less traditional maps and routes attractive for tourists. The workshop will be lectured by architects Michal Marcinov from Architecture department of Slovak University of Technology and Tomáš Dupkala, from Endorfine studios, as well, as graphic designers Peter Liška (Ping-Pong studios) and Peter Moravčík (David studios). This workshop is part of the project Engine Room Europe - Living (under) Ground, within which we are together searching for various ways, how the architecture and design together with a cultural centre could possibly contribute to a better public space.

Participation is limited, registrations acceptable with own portfolios or interesting ideas - send email to mestozahrada@gmail.com.
