TrainspottingMark Renton is junkie boy according to his own conviction. A group of his „friends“ are on heroin too: Spud, Sick Boy, Tommy and sociopat Begbie. However strange and self-destructive their revolt against bourgeois society values is, they enjoy it to the fullest and they don’t admit unavoidable end. But Mark in one moment decides to put away heroin… Can „normal life“ offer him the same thrill as drugs? Edinbourgh drug scene of 80ties, affected by economical crisis, projected with autentic rawness, which is perfectly balanced with black humor and surrealistic situations thanks to the director.

„Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers….. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance.… But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin’ else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you’ve got heroin??“ Mark, Trainspotting
