Futurologický kongresThe actress Robin Wright acts herself: film star over the hill. The more wrincles she has, the less film characters she gets. She gets maybe her last offer: film studio wants to scan her body, movements and emotions and buy virtual actress who doesn’t get old. Fear from the end of the career, promise of forever youth and generous financial compensation convince Robin to accept the offer. Twenty years later she hits the road to the futurological congress for negotiation about extension of the contract. She finds herself in transformated fantasy world, in animated zone where everybody can be whoever they want. Visually stunning adaptation based on the motives from one of narratives by cult sci-fi author Stanisław Lem (Solaris) is unusual society reflection, which adores youth cult and revels with industry fabricated ilussions. Israeli director Ari Folman (Waltz with Bashir) combines actor’s performance with animated parts in original way and he lets the plot open for different interpretations. It is very ambitious film in its form and content, which „attacks” audience’s senses with a pleiad of sensations and expects of them ingeniousness and imagination.
