Multiplace is a festival of network culture, which is going on parallel every year since 2002 in a various places in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Island and other countries. The main aim of the festival Multiplace is to support the creativity of media art and critical reflection of the life and culture in the area of new technologies. Within the festival there will be workshops, concerts, performances, exhibition, lectures and discussion.

MTP: Tag tool workshop
If you are interested in DIY and in the creating of live visuals, Tag tool workshop is designed exactly for you. During four days you can build your own electronic controller, operating on the technology of the legendary platform Arduino, you can learn the basic of working with Tag tool - software for live animation, and for the end, you can try yourself in the collaborative creating of live animation on the streets of Žilina. Workshop will be led by multimedia artist Erik Bartoš.

Pódium #2: Multiplace
The second Pódium presents Juraj Ďuriš with his lecture about Experimental studio of Slovak Radio and in the same time becomes a space for interactive sound installation Distributed Presence of English artist duo Andrew Prior and David Strang, which manipulates with historically first Slovak electroacoustic composition. During the evening, authors of the installation presents, in collaboration with three dancers (Viňarský, Zuštiak, Rogers) live, sound-dance performance. Installation lasts till 21. 5. 2013.

This time we´re going to prepare dishes with crispy and juicy carrot as the main ingredient. It contains carotene, antioxidants and minerals beneficial to your body. It is ideal for this time of the year and it could be used in a great variety of dishes. As always, we would be very glad if you come and introduce your favorite meal to everyone at Vegan Sunday. Event will be supported by a group of culinary geeks Cancel 365, who will play on the carrots and other vegetable their own noise-gastronomical performance and who will cook their self-proclaimed specialty HotKarot & OpenSauce.

In the colourful musical universe of the project Frisk Frugt are meeting Danish folk songs with electronic, experimental rock, drone, psychedelic and jazz. Everything is supported by handmade electro-mechanical instruments and lately spiced with live drums. The basic of the energetic and electric free-avant-core project Shibuya Motors are Slávo Krekovič (elektronics) and Miro Tóth (saxofón, voice). This time Austrian drummer, ddkern is spinning with them.

Alef 0: As for the media, art and exhibitions
Alef 0 is a discussion evening about literature, art and new media with theorists, practitioners and doctoral students. This time Zuzana Husárová will discuss with Barbora Šedivá about the topic „As for the media, art and exhibitions”. They will discuss about possibilities of media art and creation and presentation of digital artworks. Special look on reasons, benefits and models of collaborative curatorship.

Jeff Desom: Rear Window Loop
Three-channel video installation Rear Window Loop of Jeff Desom, artist from Luxembourg, is a remix of a famous Alfred Hitchcock’s movie Rear Window. This movie, which was shot from a single perspective, Jeff Desom cut and pieced to one panoramic moving image, where all the events in the movie are happening parallel. For this installation in the year 2012, author got the highest prize Golden Nica on the festival Ars Electronica in Linz and from that time he collects further prizes with it. Within the short lecture on the opening in gallery Plusmínusnula he will talk about Rear Window Loop and about his further work. The exhibition will last till 14. 6. 2013.
