EVS: Gazelles with shadows are far from paradise

So, have you read Alamut from Vladimir Bartol? It is not really important, whether you did or not. I was just remembering the false paradise, performing inside of the story: heavens with tender maidens, juicy trees and big wet eyes of friendly tigers and peacful gazelles. Young boys were transported there after eating balls of hashish, so for them it was all hazy. These men were in a pretty strange condition, but still they were quite lacking sense for criticism in general. After this experience they were ready to die in a fight, in a war, for those who promised them heavens. Maybe we can admire their brave blind faith. Why not, after all, it is just a book.

To Žilina, precisely to Stanica, I came with a train, not on the back of the eunuchs, like these guys in Alamut, and full conciousness, as it seems to me. Still I can somehow imagine myself being in a little heavens. Everything I wanted to do, but didn´t take time for before, it is all here: oh, lights and shadows, connected with f* cabels, serving a beer with a perfect foam, colouring a portrait of an apple, which is sentenced to die, future knitting grandmothers woolen socks, forcing a greater amount of the people to eat improvised meat free dishes, speaking mixture of slavic languages, expecting comprehension and so on.

After some time I have realized I am quite closed in this creative paradise. I do not have any need to go anywhere else. For me in Žilina there is a city and Stanica, which is maybe something like a little planet, different universe. It looks different, it feels different, it even smells different than anything around it. Shadows and sunlight, they are the same on both places.

I can not give any smart arguments why it is important not to bet everything just on one thing in your life and why diversity is important. Probably it would be boring and monotonous otherwise, even if it would be the most safe. And that is why it is important sometimes to go (for a beer) to some different or to some new place, even though you know  you are working in the most perfect place, you can imagine.
