One world festival films: The Red Chapel

A journalist with no barriers, a man suffering from pulsy and a comedian travel together to North Korea with the aim to provoke laughter in conditions of one of the harshest regimes. Under the excuse of being a small theatre group from Denmark on an exchange, the Red Chapel was granted permission to enter in order to perform on various special events for selected viewers. The group actually didn´t have such straightforward goal. Two of its members, when children, were adopted from North Korea, and this is a story of their confrontation with their native roots. A story of free mind meeting an utterly controlled society. 23 millions of North Korean citizens were, until recently, controlled by an iron fist of “Dear leader”, general Kim Jong-il (now deceased).

Doslovný preklad názvu síce je Červená kaplnka, ale na SK v rámci festivalu Jeden svet je uvádzaný ako Červená kapela - http://jedensvet.sk/index.php?ID=1148. Strange but true .)
Ano, Peter má pravdu. Na Slovensku, aj v Čechách má film názov Červená kapela, ktorý viac vyhovuje tému filmu, čiže skupinu, ktorá sa vydá pátrať po humoru v Severnej Kóreii.
Viac menej má každý distribútor, ale dokonca aj festival, právo pozmeniť názov filmu (väčšinou po dohode s autorom, producentom, predajcom práv), tak ako uzná za vhodné. Deje sa tak hlavne z marketingových, ale aj z dôvodu lokálnej zrozumitelnosti, respekíve narážky, etc. Takže dejiny (nielen) filmovej distribúcie sú plné iných, často s pôvodným vôbec nesúvisiaci názvov.
