Four independent cultural centres in Slovakia started to use recyclable plastic cups. The washable cups can be used permanently. This idea prevents the creation of unrecyclable plastic waste that is usually produced during festivals or other crowded events. Buying a drink customers pay as well 1-euro deposit that is given back after bringing the cup back to a barman. We do not use the once-and-for-all plastic cups anymore.

The cups have a special design promoting the network of Slovak independent art-centres and the customers often take them home as a souvenir. Two of four mentioned centres are part of TEH Network (Stanica and Tabacka). We spread the idea on-line, e.g. via website www.ekopohare.sk and the social networks.
