Hommage à Roman Berger

Bergerovo trioAn evening dedicated to slovak composer Roman Berger, who is not only going to be spoken about, but also some of his works will be played. Three members of The Berger Trio - Branislav Dugovič (clarinet), Ján Slávik (violoncello) and Ladislav Fančovič (piano) will perform.

Members are collaborating many years in duo combinations, or as an entire trio. After their succesful concert dedicated to Roman Berger which happened in may 2010 in Krakow, the trio asked Berger, if they can use his name for the band. Their first CD is going to be released this year.

Roman Berger (1930) is slovak music composer, musicologist and music philosophist, who´s trying to craft a system of music theory adequate to contemporary scientific thinking, and which would be very general.
