European night of theatres is an annual international event, which was started by Children theater Dubrava in Croatia and in 2011, is taking place in six European countries. It´s mainly a night of open theatres, which aims to bring a creative form of theatre to the audience, to show and let them experience it in a more different way. Its going to be held for the second time in Slovakia, specifically in 9 cities involved (Banská Bystrica, Bratislava, Košice, Martin, Nitra, Prešov, Trnava, Zvolen, Žilina) coordinated by Divadelný ústav Bratislava (Theatre Institute in Bratislava). Žilina theatres involved in the project (Puppet theatre of Žilina and Stanica Žilina-Záriečie) offer (not only) a joint program to the audience.

2pm – 4.30pm, Stanica
Zažni svetlo (Experience the Light) / Limbo reloaded
Public workshop oriented on scenic games and shadow doll installations.

5pm, Puppet theatre Žilina
Roald Dahl: Eltrut (theatre performance)

6pm – 7pm
Lampion parade
Lampion workshop held in Puppet Theatre and joint move from there to Stanica, accompanied by with lampions.

7pm – 10pm, Stanica
Shine on…
Unusual experience theatre evening. Discover many scary creatures and its stories in corners of Stanica, enter our “virtual” game, and be inspired by the light and darkness, the main characters of the evening!
