Curator: Jana Huljaková

Tomáš Cetera is a young fine artist, attracted by the issues of media, material and form – with regard to statue or linocut. He is fascinated by classic media, which he pushes into an actual shape by means of slight gestures. Exhibiton-installation called autožrút absorb the whole gallery space and creates an area in which the recipient gets into epicentre of closed circle. Installation is composed of big format linocut and its imprints – a dog biting its tail, forming a closed circle out of his body at the same time. This image refers to disturbing, and unstable „creature“, constantly absorbing itself – unable to escape from itself. By reproducing such creature, a whole dog pack emerges, multiplying its power and turning its autodestructive gene not only against itself but also against social system, human kind, or race.

Exhibition lasts until October 10, 2010.
Gallery in Stanica is open every day from 12am-8pm, and during evening events. Free entry.
