Theatre adaptation of the worst film ever (Stanica_LAB)

Theatre adaptation of “the worst film ever” (Plan 9 from Outer Space, r. Edward D. Wood Jr.) by Pacientárium has shattered the Slovak theatre world. In fact, it might not be considered theatre at all… however, what then, is it? It can be seen as multimedia performance, while at the same time, it is an attempt to interpret, rather “seriously”, the visions of Ed Wood for the 21st century. The Academy of Performing Arts graduates, director Andrej Kolenčík and scenarist Lukáš Sigmund made use of cliches from invasion sci-fi films from the 50’s, including all the props and expressive means reflecting naivity of trashy genres from the era. Both film and performance are thus to be categorized as from B to Z.
