Concert / Kofola Sessions (Stanica_CLUB)

International trio Lonely Drifter Karen performed at Stanica in 2008 with great success at Zilina Literary Festival. They play a charming mix of chanson, folk, jazz, avant-pop and cabaret. This time, they will perform songs from the new album Fall of Spring, which was published by Crammed Discs label in April this year. After their debut Grass Is Singing, this album is a convincing step forward. The band composed of Tanja Frinta (AT / vocals, guitar), Marc Melia Sobrevias (ESP / keyboards, arrangements) and Giorgio Menossi (ITA / percussions) has broadened its music arsenal adding wind arrangements, windwood instruments, distorted rock guitars, inventive percussions including pedal steel guitar. As guests – folk singer Emily Jane White, Dana Janssen from Akron/Family and violinist Carey Lamprecht.

Extra Life is an American band led by a New York guitarist/singer Charlie Looker (currently a member of Ocrilim, ex-member of Zs and Dirty Projectors). Their compositions are epic, complex and aggressive yet filled with fresh, personal, and theatrical spirit; dark, chamber avant-pop aided by cold gothic beauty reminding of Medieval choirs. At Stanica, they will perform in a non-traditional way as an acoustic duo – Charlie Hooker (guitar, vocals) and Caley Monahan-Ward (violin).
