Pecha Kucha Night Žilina – Volume 10 (for Haiti)

It was seven years ago, on February 20, 2003, that architects Mark Dytham and Astrid Klein (Klein Dytham Architecture) organized the first Pecha Kucha Night in SuperDeluxe club in Tokyo. Thus they launched the format 20 pictures x 20 seconds. Introducing interesting personalities from the world of visual art continues in Stanica as well. Tenth anniversary Pecha Kucha Night in Žilina will host people from different corners of Czechoslovakia.
Petra Herotová and Daniela Baráčková, arists in exhibition from Brno, Tomáš Džadoň from Poprad, Prague and New York, theatremakers Ján Luterán and Mariana Ďurčeková. Also, centre Tabačka Kulturfabrik from Košice are invited as a representative of independent cultural space in Slovakia. Architect Juraj Koban (Kopa) from Košice, and other atelier introduced will be N/A from Bratislava. From Žilina, it is artists Milan Opalka, Jana Huljaková and Jozef Malý, film maker and fantasy fan Peter Pikna, streetart artist Maroš Obšivan and DJs from Stereodisco group, who will play some sets apart from presentation.
Admission sum will be donated to Architecture for Humanity organization to support Haiti reconstruction after earthquake. Pecha Kucha has decided to collect a million dollars. In February, there are events scheduled for 200 cities, in which PKN is organized, and we are part of it.
