Jadec N’Aren: [ ] FascimileWho is moving?
It’s the Who that is taking so much time to enter
Who is speaking?
It’s the Who that breaks the sounds into murmurs

There is only one day and one night: the rest is repetition.
Proverb from Tuva

Facsimile is a collection of short solos, which are connected to each other by an associative/analogue thread. Each solo work is born by the development of a ‘figure’ and her movement.

Facsimile is a work inspired by an idea of origin and the taking off from an origin.

Elena created a personal vocabulary of movement taking from an image of the body or a representation of the body drawn from her imagination and traditional myths. (the crow, the emperor, the tree…)

The choreography considers the contaminations between presence and decadence, ritual and distraction, pathway and mapping. The form of the moving body and the invisible thread that sustains that form work on dynamics between artificial and spontaneous.

Elena’s choreographic research focuses into the relation between psyche and soma, generating from her imagined narratives ‘self-sown’ compositions.

The Solo The Crow (2010) is part of Facsimile.
