Folk is not so folkish at all times. This is the proof that Czech folk songwriting has gone a long way since Brontosauři.

An acoustic-electronic duo “Dva” (“Two”) was founded in spring 2006. They label themselves as Non-exist nations folklore, and they indirectly refer to the influence of tango, cabaret, circus, popsongs, kitchen beatbox or freakfolk. Their concerts are often accompanied by live projections by Project 2m (Magdalena Hrubá and Markéta Lisá – alias Midi Lidi and Audiofenky).

dné has escaped from a small Czech village due to incredible cultural isolation there. He’s living in Prague now, aged 24. He revives his memories of nice winter evenings spent playing canasta, with his guitar, piano, melodies, glockenspiel, percussions, laptop and pieces of wood…
