This year’s last concert of the new cycle Classical music non-classically, this time with intro by Ivan Šiller.

Trio for french horn, violin and piano, written by Brahms in the last decade of his life, is unique in the world’s repertory of the chamber music. Ligeti wrote Trio for french horn, violin and piano in his period of composing crisis and he wanted to end it by working at the Trio. The song is a tribute to Johannes Brahms and it is one of the extraordinary in Ligeti’s life. In the second part of the trio, Ligeti uses aperiodic Bulgarian rhythms. The song ends with the choire Lamento, that sounds like Adagio, the third part of Brahms’ Trio.
