Jonquil is an original name for a living room project from English Oxford, which developed into a group gathered around the leader Huge Manuel. Catchy melodies, instruments and music on the edge of indie pop and avant folk. After albums such as Sunny Casinos (2006) and Lions (2007) published by Try Harder Records (Foals, Blood Red Shoes) and EP Whistle Low (Acuarela Discos, 2008), the band attracted attention not only of English media. In 2008, they played at Glastonbury and Latitude festivals for BBC Introducing, while second half of the year they spent touring Europe and the UK. They have also appeare on radio shows of Huw Stephens´ (Radio 1) and John Kennedy´s (Xfm). This year, they appear in Slovakia for the first time.
