In the criminal drama Natural Born Killers came together two, quite different filmmakers – Quentin Tarantino as a scenarist provocatively flirts with „low” genres, while the director Oliver Stone seems to be seriously committed filmmaker. Inspiration for the film are audience’s favorite stories and interviews with mass murderers, who became, with a help of a television media, famous and sometimes even popular celebrities.

Film spectacularly combines the diverse narrative practices – from B/W, pseudo-documentary passages, through the parodies of TV genres, to the variety of stylized tricks sequences. With illogical narrative it leads to the surrealism and to its emphasis on the dark, unconscious motivation for the human actions. A cruel (= attractive) story about irrationality of the violence in the modern world.
