Srečna mladina (Slo) On Friday the 13th we are inviting you to come on Slovenian Slovak Night, which is organized from our EVS volunteers. In Stanica are with us already from September Niki in Nataša from Slovenia, who are doing volunteer job, and now in the ending of their one year project, they are organizing intercultural event with musicians from Slovenia and Slovakia.

Srečna Mladina in literally translation means is Lucky Youth. Since 1993, there were many band members changing especially on their very beginning. They’ve worked with many other Slovenian and foreign artists as musician, graphic designers, film and theater directors and others. Srečna Mladina took some music awards in the past and they are very well known band from music reviews which are mostly positive oriented. They have created six studio albums and their last album was published in 2010 with a name „… Pa srečno v prihodnosti!“ („… And good luck in the future!“). The album was recorded in their own rehearsal place, mostly in DIY production. Meaning of album’s content is mostly socially critical and it’s all about decadency of nowadays society. That’s why sound is so rough and raw.

Chiki liki tu-a is an alternative band from Prešov. They are playing together from 1995 and from that time they had around 1.000 shows in 15 countries and also get a lot of music prizes. In their songs you can find plenty of musical styles, their texts are describe as nonsense poetry and it’s strongly inspired by the multicultural environment of Prešov and its surroundings. The group performs extensively in Slovakia and abroad, which won first place as most Slovak band playing abroad. The group attributed the authorship also in the creation of a special terminology „acrobatic rock’n'roll“, which is somehow the description for their music.
