MaTinée
afternoon with music
Sunday, March 25th 2012, 16.00

Fagot (c) Marilia GallusOn the occasion of the third musical afternoon within our cycle MaTinée we ask you again in our Café at Stanica – this time we are going to make up notes from air. Flute, klarinet, oboe, basson and saxophone from the group of woodwind instruments are going to enter the stage. We`ll hear their sound and find out why flute and saxophone belong to this group eventhough they`re not from wood, how to sound the basson or what happens when the klarinet is doing a glissando and the oboe a vibrato. Students from the Konservatorium Žilina are going to play pieces of Weber, Schulhoff, Longo, Marcello, Schumann and others. The entrance is free, but we should be glad for your small contribution.

This Cycle of musical sunday afternoons taking place from January till May monthly is organised by Christin Eberhardt (De), who is now working as an EVS volunteer at Stanica within the framework of the European program Youth in action.
